The short version: ArrivMate is free to use. We earn money when you click certain links on our site and make a purchase or sign up with one of our partners. This never costs you extra — the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly. We only recommend products and services we believe are genuinely useful for working holiday makers.
ArrivMate contains affiliate links to third-party products and services. When you click one of these links and complete a qualifying action (such as making a purchase, signing up, or completing a booking), the partner pays us a commission. This is how we keep ArrivMate free.
The commission we earn varies by partner — some pay a flat fee per sign-up, some pay a percentage of the sale, and some pay on a recurring basis. In all cases, the presence of an affiliate relationship does not increase the price you pay.
We recommend products based on what we believe is most useful for people arriving in Australia on working holiday and student visas. Our selection criteria include: relevance to WHMs, value for money, reputation and reliability, quality of service, and coverage of real needs we've identified through research and user feedback.
We do not recommend products solely because they have an affiliate program. If a product isn't good enough to recommend on its own merits, we won't include it regardless of the commission. Where multiple options exist (such as VPN providers or accommodation platforms), we present alternatives so you can make your own choice.
Recommendations are personalised based on your situation. For example, insurance recommendations differ depending on whether your country has a Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement with Australia. This personalisation is based on genuine regulatory differences, not commission rates.
